Monday Morning News: Employees Helping Local Organizations

Last week, even in the rain, Popular Community Bank employees took part in a blood drive in Orlando. On Tuesday, Sept. 18, the Big Red Bus from Florida’s Blood Centers arrived and employees took time out of their work day to donate blood. Employees Jessica Del Valle, Roman Lancara and Lilliam Rosa are in these photos.

Here are a few items on our calendar in the coming week:

Do you have questions about your credit? This entire week, our branch on Broadway in New York is hosting FREE educational sessions to answer your questions regarding building, repairing and maintaining good credit. Stop by any day between 9-4, or email to register.

If you’re in Chicago’s suburbs and watching football on Monday night, stop by and see The Drive Crew at Buffalo Wild Wings in either Skokie or Mt. Prospect and enter to win great prizes from us! We’re excited to be partnering with 97.1 WDRV in Chicago for these events all season!

Need a good laugh? On Thursday, Sept. 27, we’re sponsoring the Fajitas, Greens & All In Betweens Comedy Jam that benefits the Block Club Federation in Chicago. The 21-and-over event is at Joe’s Bar on Weed Street and features a fantastic lineup of comedians; the $20 donation includes pizza and $1 drinks from 6-7 PM.

Finally, this weekend is a special event on our calendar in California. A group of Popular Community Bank employees has been raising money for the Light the Night Walk to benefit Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for over a month. So far, our team has raised over $16,000 for LLS! If you are interested in helping them reach their goal of $25,000 by this weekend, click here.
