Running With A Heart: Popular Community Bank Employee Taking On NY Marathon

On Nov. 4, a Eda Aguilar from Popular Community Bank’s Trust Department in New York will run with the American Heart Association Team as they raise money for cardiovascular disease research in the New York City Marathon.

Throughout 2012, Popular Community Bank has worked with the American Heart Association in New York to raise money and awareness. In February, our employees participated in Go Red Day, and in May a team of our employees participated in the Annual AHA Wall Street Heart (Run) Walk.

In less than two weeks, Aguilar will extend the relationship 26.2 miles.

Our branches in New York and New Jersey are raising funds with Aguilar, helping her meet her contribution goal before she hits the road. If you have interest in helping Aguilar, you can visit her donation page.

Each of our branches in New York and New Jersey are selling the American Heart Association red dress pins and hearts to raise funds as well. Stop by a branch for details.

Also, on Make A Difference Day this Saturday, each of our branches in New York and New Jersey will be offering our “Take Control of Your Money” financial literacy seminar. Contact your local branch for details on this great, free opportunity.
