Last week, 44 Popular Community Bank employees spent time sharing financial education with students at a local elementary school in Florida.
On Wednesday, Nov. 7, our employees partnered with Junior Achievement of Central Florida to provide financial education to students at West Oaks Elementary School in Orlando.
Junior Achievement (JA) is a non-profit that operates all over the United States. JA provides materials to volunteers that are delivered to students between kindergarten and 12th grade.
Working with students ranging from kindergarten to 5th grade, our employees provided new information and answered questions for students at West Oaks throughout the school day.
If you’re interested in working with JA, click here for information about how and where you can volunteer.
Also, please remember that we are still raising money to help two great organizations – the Food Bank For New York City and the Salvation Army in New Jersey – as they help folks in affected areas recover from Superstorm Sandy.
