Popular Community Bank, Operation Hope Provide Education in California

Last Wednesday, a group of Popular Community Bank employees teamed up with Operation Hope to provide financial education to students at an elementary school in Anaheim.

On November 14, a dozen Popular Community Bank employees spent time delivering financial education to 5th and 6th grade students at Thomas Jefferson Elementary in Anaheim, CA. Our team of banking experts, including tellers, bankers, and corporate employees explored topics such as credit and banking careers.

This was the second time in a matter of weeks that we have partnered with Operation Hope in California.

In October, Popular Community Bank employees visited Santa Fe Springs High School, providing financial literacy education with an advanced placement classes that included a discussion on “Making College Affordable.”

We plan on growing our involvement as partners with Operation Hope in Orange County in 2013.
